How do virtual machines work?

Virtual machines operate through a hypervisor, a software layer positioned between the host's hardware and the guest operating systems. The hypervisor emulates hardware components, allocates system resources, and ensures isolation between multiple virtual machines.

Difference between Containers & Virtual Machines?

Containers and virtual machines both offer isolated environments for application execution, but they differ in how they operate and utilize resources. Containers share the host operating system’s kernel, resulting in lower overhead and quicker startup times. In contrast, virtual machines include a full operating system stack, offering greater isolation and versatility.

Who can use the Shakti Cloud VM Service?

Any registered user on Shakti Cloud can provision GPU VMs. The service is ideal for AI Practitioners Startups, and Enterprises working on AI/ML, Rendering, or Simulation tasks.

Do the VMs come with pre-installed Drivers?

Yes, common Drivers such as CUDA Drivers, NV Drivers will be pre-installed in the machine.

How is billing calculated for GPU VMs?

Billing is based on the Pay-as-you-Go & MRC Model (monthly) and the GPU type selected. Additional charges may apply for Object storage, VPN Services etc.

24/7 support is available including all the plans.

Can User be able to SSH to AI Workspace VMs?
